  1. Kia Ora Oliver, this is Shannon from the Summer Learning Journey.

I really like your 2019 memory book. You’ve done a wonderful job including text, graphics, and colours and its resulted in a very engaging post.

It sounds like you’ve had a really busy year. It’s always hard moving schools but it sounds like you’ve made some brilliant friends and had a great time. I’m really proud of your positive attitude and perseverance.

I see your favourite animal is a cow. Cows can be adorable. Have you seen the pictures of them that have been circulating lately where they’re all brushed and groomed. They go super fluffy! Here’s a link to the fluffy cows in case you haven’t seen them. Did you know cows have best friends who they like to eat grass and socialise with? Who is your best friend?

I also noticed your favourite subject this year was carving. What did you carve? Would you be able to post a picture of it?

    Happy blogging.

  2. Hi Shannon

Thank you for the feedback. It has been hard changing schools and all but it has been a really good change for me! I have some cows myself. The cow in the photo is one of my own. My best friend is Nicky. I carved a knife and a knecklace. I would be able to post a photo of my carving soon.

    Oliver

    1. Hi again Oliver,

Your cow is very cute, does it have a name? How many cows do you have? I’ve never owned a cow but my family did have some sheep for a while. Their names were Rosie, Posie, Cutie, and Baarbra. They were very fluffy but they could be super noisy at night. It made me wonder why people say you should picture sheep jumping over a fence to sleep at night. I think they’d just wake you up!

What do you and Nicky do when you hang out together? Are you going to see him over the summer?

I look forward to seeing your post about your carving. I’ll have to keep an eye out because I really want to see your knife and necklace. I’m sure you’ve done an amazing job. What shapes did you carve into it?

      Hei konā mai,
      Shannon
